Who knew that peanut brittle could be so easy to make? Your family will love this delightful holiday treat.

- In a large saucepan, mix together the sugar, salt, water, and corn syrup. Heat on high for approximately 4 minutes or until the candy thermometer reaches 240 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Stir in the peanuts and continue cooking, stirring frequently, for approximately 10 minutes more, or until the candy thermometer reaches about 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Remove from the heat and stir in the butter and baking soda.
- Once thoroughly combined, pour immediately onto a very large buttered cookie sheet. Spread the brittle out quickly so that it covers the entire pan, then let it cool and break into pieces.
