Nothing better than homemade French toast sandwiched together with warm peanut butter and grape jelly. Serve with slices of fresh banana and your breakfast or brunch is complete.
Beat the eggs, half and half and vanilla with a whisk in a medium bowl.
- Preheat a 12-inch cast iron skillet with 2 tablespoons of butter, over medium heat.
Dip several slices of brioche bread into egg mixture and lay them in the hot pan. Brown each piece of toast on each side, flipping only once. Cook on each side about 3 minutes.
Remove the cooked French toast and place on a plate. Use a butter knife to spread peanut butter and jelly in between slices. Serve with slices of banana. Dust with powdered sugar.
