S’mores are a nostalgic handheld treat, but with this recipe, you’ll get to enjoy a slightly different take on this classic campfire dessert – as a dip! And with a flavor combination of chocolate and peanut butter mixed in, it may also remind you of the tasty peanut butter cup candy. That means this quick and easy dessert recipe brings together two beloved treats! Serve with graham crackers, Rice Krispies® treats, pretzels and fresh strawberries and apple slices for dipping.
- Preheat the oven to 450°F. In a large pot on medium heat, melt the butter and marshmallows, stirring until smooth. Add the Rice Krispies® and stir until the cereal is evenly coated with the marshmallow mixture. Transfer mixture to a greased baking dish and let set for 30 minutes. Cut into squares and set aside.
- Place an even layer of chocolate bars in a baking dish. Evenly dollop with peanut butter and sprinkle over chopped peanuts. Top with a layer of mini marshmallows.
- Transfer s’mores dip to preheated oven and bake for 5 minutes or until chocolate is melted and marshmallows are lightly browned on top.
- Serve immediately with Rice Krispies® treats, graham crackers, pretzels, strawberries and sliced apples.
Recipe Tip: Use premade Rice Krispies® Treats from your local Food Lion as a quick substitute.
