Pesto Shrimp Pasta

Pesto might seem fancy, but jarred versions make this classic Northern Italian sauce delicious and amazingly easy. With a squeeze of lemon, this pasta dish can make an ordinary evening feel exotic, and it's healthy too! Buon Appetito!



  1. Cook pasta according to package directions.
  2. Sprinkle shrimp on both sides with salt and lemon juice.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add onions and cook 3-5 minutes or until onions begin to soften.
  4. Add shrimp and cook, stirring often, until shrimp are just cooked through, about 5 minutes.
  5. Reduce heat to low and add 1/2 of the pesto sauce, stirring well to coat shrimp and vegetables.
  6. Add cooked pasta and remaining pesto to skillet, tossing well to combine.
  7. Serve immediately topped with shredded Parmesan and garnished with basil.
