Rice Krispie Treat Pumpkins

Add some fall flare to a classic fan favorite dessert with these adorable mini rice krispie treat pumpkins.

In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.

Add the marshmallows and stir.

Continue until the marshmallows are completely melted.

Remove from heat. Stir in the red and yellow food coloring. Add a little more yellow than red; this will achieve a good orange color.

Add the Rice Krispies cereal. Stir until well-coated.

Take about ½ cup of the mixture and form a ball, then flatten it slightly to create the "pumpkin" shape.

Use your finger to press a dent in the top of the pumpkin, deep enough to hold half of a Tootsie Roll (this will be the pumpkin's "stem").

Add the Tootsie Roll and a green M&M (vertically) for the leaf.
