Roasted Tomato Basil Marinara

Simply and easy homemade marinara sauce.


Select ingredients:


  1. Preaheat oven to 400 degrees (F). Line cookie sheet pan with aluminum foil. Spray foil with olive oil cooking spray. Cut tomatoes in half and lay on them on the sheet face up. I cut a small slice off the back so they lay flat and won't roll around.
  2. Salt and pepper tomatoes, then lightly spray top of tomatoes with olive oil cooking spray.
  3. Place basil and garlic cloves in the pan with the tomatoes, bake for one hour.
  4. Let cool then combine all ingredients and oregano in a food processor and blend until smooth.
