This savory pizza rolls are simple and fancy all at once! Plus, they're fun to make, and the whole family can participate, customizing as you go.

  1. Preheat oven to 375. Use 1 tbsp. oil to grease a large baking sheet. Brown sausage in a large skillet over medium heat, about five minutes.
  2. On a large cutting board or greased surface, unroll pizza dough and cut into 4 long strips. Cut each strip in half to create 8 rectangles of dough.
  3. Thaw frozen spinach in microwave. Using paper towels, squeeze excess moisture from spinach. Combine spinach, black pepper and garlic powder in a large bowl.
  4. Now, assemble the pizza rolls. Top the end of each rectangle with equal parts mozzarella cheese, sausage, spinach, and artichoke hearts. Finish with more mozzarella. Fold the rectangles in half, pressing firmly on the seams to create a sealed pizza pocket.
  5. Place each complete pocket onto the prepared baking sheet. Next, cut a small steam hole in the top of each pocket. Brush completed pockets with beaten egg.
  6. Bake 15-20 minutes or until pockets are browned and cheese is bubbly.
  7. Serve immediately, with marinara sauce for dipping.
