- In a large, heavy-bottomed pan heat 3 inches of oil over medium high heat.
Combine bread crumbs, salt and pepper in a small bowl. As oil heats, bread green beans by dredging them first in flour, then egg, and then bread crumb mixture. Set aside.
- Once oil is bubbling, fry green beans in batches, being careful not to over crowd the pan. If oil starts smoking, reduce heat to low. Once beans have browned, about five minutes, remove them to a paper towel-lined plate.
- Meanwhile, cook sausages thoroughly over medium heat turning once after five minutes. Toast hotdog buns.
- Serve cooked sausages in prepared buns with a generous serving of green bean fries, with condiments for dipping.
