- Heat oil or butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Then add green beans and cook for approximately 20 minutes, stirring frequently, or until green beans begin to char and soften slightly.
- When green beans are finished cooking, reduce heat to medium and add pine nuts, garlic, and salt, stirring constantly for one minute. Remove from heat and serve immediately. Add fresh ground pepper to taste.
