Ingredients
Directions
-
In a large saucepan, heat the butter and sauté the onions until softened. Add the brown sugar.
-
Add the broth, the garlic powder, the smoked paprika, the apple cider vinegar, salt, pepper, and cumin. Mix and simmer, stirring regularly, for approximately 15 minutes until it's slightly reduced.
-
Add the beef and continue heating for another 10 minutes or so over medium or medium-low; until the beef is thoroughly reheated. Stir regularly.
-
In a skillet, melt the butter and whisk in the flour to make a paste.
-
Slowly add the milk, whisking continuously, until it thickens (about 5 minutes or so).
-
Remove from the heat and stir in the cheeses, salt, and pepper.
-
Prepare your tortillas, then add your desired amount of meat and cheese; add fresh tomatoes or parsley if desired.
