Shrimp Scampi

Shrimp Scampi is a versatile recipe to have in your repertoire. Serve it as an appetizer. Or arrange the wine-and-garlic-scented shrimp over bowls of capellini. Add more red pepper flakes if you want to kick up the heat.


Select ingredients:


  1. Melt the butter with the olive oil in a large saute pan over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes. Stir for about 30 seconds. Add the wine.
  2. Add the shrimp. Stir to coat with the wine mixture. Use tongs to arrange the shrimp in an even layer. Cook for about 1 minute. Turn the shrimp. Cook for about 1 more minute or until the shrimp turn pink and are just cooked through. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  3. Transfer the shrimp to a serving bowl or to individual plates. Drizzle with lemon juice. Sprinkle with parsley.
