Sour Cream Coffee Cake

This amazingly moist and delicious cake is perfect for breakfast or dessert. It would also be a hit at your next potluck meal.


Select ingredients:


  1. Preheat your oven to 350* and grease a 9x13 pan and set aside.
  2. Cream 1 cup of butter and sugar until blended.
  3. Then add the eggs, sour cream and vanilla for about 30 seconds until blended.
  4. In the same bowl add 2 cups of flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix on low until combined and then increase the speed to mix until combined well and set aside.
  5. To make the crumb filling - In a small bowl mix the melted butter, flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon. The mixture will be a little crumbly.
  6. Take half of the cake batter and pour it into the 9x13. Top with half of the crumb filling. Then add the rest of the batter and top with the remaining crumb mixture.
  7. Bake for about 40 minutes. Check your cake at around 35 minutes because all ovens can vary in temperature. If you need to bake it longer, add 5 minutes at a time. The cake will be a light golden brown when it is cooked.
