Try adding roasted beets to your next bloody Mary . It really takes this beverage up a notch and the veggies are a healthful bonus.

  1. Place the mashed beets and the tomato juice, the lemon juice, the pickle juice, the horseradish, the Worchestershire sauce, and the celery salt in a blender and beat together.
  2. Add salt to taste.
  3. Fill a tall glass with an ounce-and-a-half of vodka and ice. Repeat with two more glasses.
  4. Fill the remainder of each glass with the beet mixture and stir lightly.
  5. Top each drink with your choice of garnishes.
