A kick to your burger enjoy this juicy, spicy burger!

  1. Mix the mayonnaise, chipotle sauce and lime juice together in a small cup. Chill the spread in the fridge while making and cooking the burgers.
  2. De-seed and dice the jalapeno. Start by cutting off the stem, then cutting the jalapeno in half lengthwise. Remove the seeds, and chop into ¼ inch to ½ inch sized pieces.
  3. Combine together the ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, cayenne powder, ground chipotle, and diced jalapenos together in a large bowl. Divide the mixture into four parts and shape into patties. Avoid over working the meat, as it will cause the final burgers to be tough.
  4. Toast the buns by placing them in indirect heat, or on a bun rack.
  5. Place the burgers over a medium-high direct heat for 4-5 minutes. Flip the patties and cook for another 4-5 minutes.
  6. While still on the grill, place the shredded cheese on the patties and allow it to melt before removing the burgers from the grill.
  7. Spread the chipotle mayo spread on the bottom bun, place the burger on top, and then add the avocado slices and tortilla strips to the top of the burger.
