Peel the sweet potatoes.
In a saucepan, boil the sweet potatoes until fork-tender. Remove from heat, drain the water, and mash the potatoes.
In the same saucepan with the sweet potatoes, add the ginger, cayenne pepper, cinnamon, brown sugar, butter, and cream. Over low heat, thoroughly combine all ingredients.
Over low heat, thoroughly combine all ingredients. Serve warm.
