- Heat oil and add stew meat into frying pan. Add chopped onion. Brown until the onions soften.
- Add salt, pepper, butter, V8 juice, red pepper flakes, sugar, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir. Cook for approximately 1 hour.
- Add the potatoes and carrots. Continue to cook on medium-low until the meat and vegetables are tender, approximately another hour.
