Perfect on top of everything from waffles to ice cream, this delightful compote is full of the flavors and fresh fruits of summer.

  1. In a saucepan, bring the wine and sugar to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and add strawberries, blueberries, zest and salt to the pot. Simmer for 20 minutes or until the liquid has reduced by about half. Allow to cool to room temperature and serve over your favorite treat or refrigerate compote and use within 2-3 days.
