Sweet Potato Casserole

Roasting your sweet potatoes will bring out the natural sweetness of the South's favorite vegetable.

  1. Preheat oven at 350 degrees.
  2. Using an electric hand mixer, blend sugar, eggs, vanilla and spices. Add milk gradually to achieve a creamy consistency. Put in a 9 x 13 pan.
  3. Make the topping by combining the butter, brown sugar, flour, and chopped pecans. Crumble the topping over sweet potatoes and bake for 30 minutes.
