- In a large, deep skillet over medium heat, melt the butter, then add the carrots. Coat the carrots in melted butter, then add enough water to cover the carrots.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for approximately 20 to 25 minutes or until the carrots are tender and the butter/water is completely reduced.
- Add the brown sugar, salt, and pepper. Cook over medium-low heat for a few more minutes until the sugar is melted and a sauce is created.
