No fryer needed for this wonton appetizer! These baked Teriyaki Turkey Wonton Cups are easy to make with only 7 ingredients. And all you’ll need is a frying pan and a muffin tin to craft these tasty bite-sized starters to pair with your Asian-inspired entrée, whether it’s fried rice, teriyaki chicken or another dish. Also, as you’re shopping for the ingredients below at your local Food Lion, keep in mind that when pineapples are in season during the summer months, you can certainly swap the canned pineapple for fresh.
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Coat your muffin pan with Food Lion Nonstick Cooking Spray. Place one wonton wrapper in each muffin cup and press down to shape. Bake for 10 minutes, until golden brown and crisp. Remove from oven and let cool.
- Meanwhile, prepare teriyaki rice according to package directions.
- Add turkey crumbles to large nonstick skillet and set heat to medium-high. Continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until turkey is heated through, about 5-7 minutes. Drizzle hoisin sauce over the turkey and stir to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Fill wonton cups halfway with teriyaki rice. Top with hoisin glazed turkey and garnish with pineapple and green onion.
