Spring is berry season, and this fresh recipe is the perfect way to take full advantage of this sweet time of year. With three types of berries, plus spring mix lettuce and avocado, this salad is packed with fresh flavors. And since it’s topped with chicken and crumbled bacon, it’s also perfectly filling for lunchtime. You can even make it the night before so it’s ready to enjoy the next day. Just wait to cut into your avocado until right before mealtime.

  1. Warm oil over medium heat on a nonstick skillet. Add the chicken breast pieces and toss with tongs frequently to brown evenly on all sides until cooked through, 5 to 7 minutes. Set aside and rest for 5 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the salad ingredients together with cooked chicken pieces. Drizzle the dressing over the salad and continue to toss until well-coated.
