These delicious turtle candies combine the infinitely incredible trio of chocolate, caramel, and pecans.
Ingredients
Directions
- Spread waxed paper on a baking sheet, then arrange the pecans into six groups of four pecans each. Each pecan is a "turtleâs leg," so arrange them accordingly.
- Unwrap each of the caramels and place in a small saucepan with 1 tablespoon of water; then heat over low-medium heat, stirring constantly until the caramels are melted.
- Spoon one large spoonful of melted caramel into the center of each group of pecans to begin creating the body of the turtle.
- In a small bowl, microwave the chocolate chips until they are melted. As with the caramels, spoon one large spoonful of chocolate on top of the caramel.
- Allow the turtle candies to cool completely, or pop in the refrigerator to accelerate the hardening. Allow to return to room temperature before eating.
