Want a tasty healthy snack, lunch, or hot breakfast sandwich? Bring comfort food to the next level with this tomato avocado melt! Add cayenne for spice.


Select ingredients:


  1. Set the oven to a high broil. Divide the sandwich thin in half. Spread two tablespoons of whipped cream cheese onto each half, then lay the halves (cream cheese side up) onto a baking sheet.
  2. Lay three tomato slices onto each sandwich thin to cover each surface, then lightly season the to-mato slices with salt and pepper.
  3. Lay one slice of light cheese over the tomatoes on each half, and pop the baking sheet into the ov-en. Broil on high for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and melted. Remove from oven, and top each half with sliced avocado and finely chopped chives.
