The Waldorf Salad is a classic dating back to the late 1800s. Just because the original is amazing, that doesn't mean you can't add a few updates. Try throwing carrots and almonds in the next time you create this summer staple.


Select ingredients:


  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together mayo, salt, sugar and lemon juice.
  2. Cut up the apples, celery and carrots. Toss together with the mayo dressing and transfer to the plate.
  3. Sprinkle crushed almonds on the top and serve immediately.
