The Waldorf Salad is a classic dating back to the late 1800s. Just because the original is amazing, that doesn't mean you can't add a few updates. Try throwing carrots and almonds in the next time you create this summer staple.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together mayo, salt, sugar and lemon juice.
- Cut up the apples, celery and carrots. Toss together with the mayo dressing and transfer to the plate.
- Sprinkle crushed almonds on the top and serve immediately.
