- Juice the apples and carrots using a juice machine. Then transfer the liquid into a small pot. Add the ginger, star anise, cloves and cinnamon sticks and bring all to a boil, then reduce to a simmer for 5 minutes. Finally, remove from heat and let steep for 10 minutes.
- Strain contents through a fine sieve or cheesecloth, top with fresh nutmeg, then serve warm.
